Dermatology Training
Clinical Training
Residents receive broad-based dermatology training through a diverse network of academic, community, and veteran healthcare settings. Clinical experiences are designed to provide progressive responsibility and increasing autonomy throughout residency.
Dermatopathology Training
Dermatopathology education is integrated throughout residency through dedicated sign-out sessions, conferences, clinicopathologic correlation, and close collaboration with fellowship-trained dermatopathologists.

Research & Scholarly Activity
Residents are encouraged to participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, educational projects, and scholarly publications. Faculty mentorship and institutional resources support residents in presenting their work at regional and national meetings.
Training Sites
USF Health
Residents work closely with faculty in outpatient clinics caring for a wide range of dermatologic conditions while developing strong diagnostic and procedural skills.
Moffitt Cancer Center
Residents gain exposure to complex cutaneous oncology and multidisciplinary cancer care through collaboration with nationally recognized specialists.
James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital
The VA provides extensive experience in both common and complex dermatologic diseases and serves as an important clinical training site throughout residency.
Affiliated Clinical Sites
Residents rotate through additional affiliated sites that further enhance exposure to diverse patient populations and dermatologic conditions, including Tampa General Hospital.
