• Advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, registered nurses, students, or trainees

1. Examine foundational and advanced concepts of cancer screening, prevention, diagnosis,

   staging, and treatment planning as they apply to contemporary oncology practice.

2. Analyze the roles, indications, and toxicities of systemic, localized, and multimodal

   cancer therapies within disease specific and patient centered treatment approaches.

3. Explore the pathophysiology, presentation, and initial management of common oncologic

   emergencies encountered across care settings.

4. Incorporate psychosocial, survivorship, palliative, and end of life care principles into

   holistic oncology care models.

5. Develop advanced professional practice skills aligned with APRN oncology roles,

   including clinical reasoning, communication, interprofessional collaboration, and ethical

   decision making.

6. Strengthen oncology knowledge integration and clinical reasoning through structured

   learning activities designed to support success on the AOCNP® certification

   examination.
