Biography

Jason W. Wilson, MD, PhD, CPE, FACEP is Professor and Founding Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida. He also serves as Chief of Emergency Medicine and as Vice President and Academic Co-Chief of the Emergency Services Institute at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Wilson holds a PhD in Anthropology and has an affiliate faculty appointment with the Department of Anthropology at the University of South Florida. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) and Addiction Medicine (ABPM) and is a Certified Physician Executive. His research considers the role of a new clinical anthropology in the development of patient pathways utilizing anthropological theory and methods.
